Sandhya Byataraya

Sandhya is a ceramicist from India.

In 2024-2025 she did a 1 year internship as Kouraku as a studio support staff. During her stay she also studying traditional Japanese porcelain underglaze painting and wheel thronging.

Currently producing and teaching in Bangalore.

Samantha Rin

Singapore Based Art Historian and Artist. Samantha’s Main Focus during her Residency was to Create a Series of Miniature Vases.

She is Currently doing her Masters Degree on Japanese Porcelain Export for the Asian Market.

Austria Based Artist, Maria has been Both a Resident and an Intern at Kouraku kiln. In 2023, Her Internship Gave Birth to the Moon Drop Teapot.

London Based Ceramist, Finlay Came for a First Residency in 2023. He did His Second Residency in the fall of 2025. He Holds the Record of the Most Bowls Produced, Packed, and Shipped in a 1 month Residency.
