What is Treasure Hunting?

Enjoy Treasure Hunting in Japan!

This unique experience gives you the opportunity to fill a basket with all Arita Porcelain you can fit for a flat price. Our warehouse is full of porcelain pieces from simple to highly decorated.

Depending on the course you choose, you have a choice between two baskets; regular or luxury.

We provide newspaper and boxes during the packing process.

This activity is family friendly and we welcome all ages!

RECEPTION HOURS:

  • AM: 10:00 to 11:00

  • PM: 13:00 to 14:00

Treasure Hunting is Open Everyday. We close during the lunch hour between 12:00 and 13:00. Please arrive during the reception hours if you want to do this activity.

The reception is in the store.

STORE HOURS:

  • 10:00 to 12:00

  • 13:00 to 17:00

STORE CLOSURES:

  • NEW YEAR HOLIDAY: Afternoon of the 12/26 to 1/6/27

How Long is my Shopping Experience?

  • Up to 90 Minutes!

Is Virtual Shopping Included?

  • Unfortunately, No. We do not provide this service. This is an in person activity. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Can I ship my Parcel?

  • If you have sufficient time in Japan, you have the ability to ship your items to your hotel via Yamato Transport.

  • If you want to ship your items overseas, you can take your parcel to Japan post via post office.

  • Live in Japan? We can ship your items to you unless you live on military base housing. Due to specific regulations, we cannot ship to military housing.

I Don’t Speak Japanese, Do you Provide Language Assistance?

  • We currently have staff members who can speak English, Korean, and French!

Can I put an Item on hold?

  • No. All items are first come, first serve bases.

I saw an item on your Website/Social Media page. Will you have it Available? Are all pieces made from Kouraku Kiln?

  • Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the item in question will be there due to the nature of this experience.

  • Not every piece in Treasure Hunting is from Kouraku Kiln! You’ll see a variety of items from other makers.
